There is an event/party this Friday evening held at the Tobacco Warehouse in Dumbo, and sponsored by Art and Commerce. There was a competition for photographers and three of my pieces were accepted for this exhibition. There will be 50 other photographers included in this show, and I am expecting great work. The show will be up for a while, but the opening event with food, booze, DJ's, outdoor benches etc... will take place this Friday night. If you are interested in coming to the opening, please send me your snail mail address ASAP, so I can send you a physical invite. You will need this to get in the door, and, as it stands now, I only have a limited amount. Each invite will represent you plus one guest...

Yasna Voices will be singing at a small community garden in Brooklyn today, Saturday. We will open our 7pm set with some wild Nordic Herding calls and will sing lots of songs for about an hour after that. Refreshments and Candlelight included. Please join us in a few hours right off the Clinton-Washington stop of the G train, right near-by Pratt University. No Bulgarian get-up this time. Instead we will be performing in colorful summer dresses to match all the colors in the flowery garden. Hope to see you there.

Irresponsible me for not letting you know much much sooner, but I figure better late than not at all. Yasna Voices (the Bulgarian Woman's choir I sing with, just to specify in case you are new to this list) will be singing 3 pieces in collaboration with our leader's live puppet troupe. And there are jugglers and trapeze-ing people and a neat cabaret-ish band and more. You can purchase tickets online at www.bricstudio.org. Maybe I'll see someone. A last minute surprise.

Long time no see. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am, in fact, teaching that summer photo intensive I told you about at the JCC in August. It will be 3 weeks long, 4 days a week, and 5 hours a day. I haven't planned out a syllabus yet, but imagine, of course depending on each students particular wants, shooting, tons of dev/printing etc., but also guest speakers, field trips, a studio lighting day, guest critiques, slides n'stuff, and whatever else everyone may want. Or, if I get the sense most people just wanna print all the time, then so be it, we'll stay in the dark all August long, and all of you will become master printers. Anyway, point being, if you guys do have any interest, here is the info: Tuesday -Friday, 12noon-5pm, August 10th -27th. Here is the weblink: http://www.jccmanhattan.org/category.asp?c=1434&tl=1004,1277,0 That's all for now. I hope you guys are having really fun summer and taking pictures as much as you can!

Here is the information about the Group Show and Party this Sat night in Time Square. I will have a bunch of work up. About 20 new prints I've made for me, as well as a ton of recent work I've shot for the NY Post. I'm real curious to see these two totally different breeds of work combined together on one wall. (What I have made for the day job vs. what I have made for myself). Also, if I have photographed you in the past year, there is a chance you will be hanging on the wall. Come on Over. Drink some booze, peek at pictures, some paintings, live music, and buy some little $2-10 mystery goodies if you please. Specifics Bellow: Spit And Duct Tape collective, the kids are bored, and spaceworks @ the tank are proud to present: The Day Job: An Art and Live Music Event...
