For those of you new to my blog, Yasna Voices is the Bulgarian Women's Choir I sing with based in Brooklyn. Saturday Night, Yasna Voices will perform at 11pm as part of The Golden Festival. This will be our third year performing there. It's so fun! The Golden Festival is New York's largest Balkan music event, with multiple stages, Balkan and Middle Eastern drinking, eating and dancing! From international stars to local musicians (like Yasna), modern Balkan stylists to folk traditionalists, and over 40 bands, this 2-day long event provides hours of ecstatic listening, dancing and partying. The party fills all the rooms at a local hidden high-school, a million miles up from mid-manhattan, at 207th street. Think of it like a mini-vacation, a small resort and party that you can take the Subway to! The Event is weekend-long, but Yasna Voices performs only once here: Yasna Voices Saturday, January 14th 11pm Good Shepherd School 620 Isham (near 207th St. and B'way) Manhattan, New York  Directions Donation: $30, students $20, children (6-12) $8 pick in Village Voice for Golden Festival. celebration of Balkan Music in NY 11pm Golden Room.
